The Bell Tent Hire Co., Brisbane

January 12, 2016

Weddings, Festivals and any other event you can think of, these guys have got your back!

Sarah (Owner) is an inspiration. A well established interior designer by trade, having worked on some of the world’s most beautiful homes, Sarah has always had a deep rooted love for camping and has camped all over the world.

A 'call for a change' drove Sarah to pack in her job in the UK, move to Oz (her birth place) and start her own enterprise; The Bell Tent Hire Co.

The Bell Tent Hire Co. aims to make your experience unique, luxurious and stress free. They will cater for any special event.

We checked in with Sarah to find out how it's going and the secret of her success...

Q. What prompted you to take a sea change and follow your passion for canvas?
A. After many years working and partying in London, the call for a change crept in and we found ourselves looking for a new adventure, and place to call home. Moving to Australia has been a homecoming for me, as I was born here.

A lot of things that are popular in the UK haven’t quite made it over here, and we saw a market for Bell Tent Hire here in Oz.  I spent much of my recent career managing small businesses so it seemed like a natural progression to move into starting and managing my own little enterprise.

Q. Why choose SoulPad?
A. I researched all the major suppliers before deciding on SoulPad.  The two most important things that stood out to me and made the decision easy is the quality of the products and materials used in the SoulPads, and the social responsibility philosophy that SoulPad has adopted.

Q. What makes The Bell Tent Hire Co. unique?
A. While there are a few more companies around in Australia now that offer a similar service, we have kept things small and simple, and in doing so have been able to keep our prices down.  We strive to offer a friendly, stress free service, and the feedback so far from our clients has been very encouraging.

Q. Can you tell us about some of projects you have worked on?
A. Being such a large and varied country we have been fortunate already to have been asked to set up our tents in some pretty special locations.

We recently partnered with a local tourism initiative and provided glamping accommodation to 5 influential bloggers in some stunningly scenic areas.  It was a great opportunity for us to do a little local travel ourselves, while helping to promote the local region.

We were also fortunate enough to provide the accommodation for a number of weddings and parties at some beautiful properties across Queensland.

Q. What plans have you got for the future?
A. We have had a busy and varied year this year, and in 2016 I’m hoping to continue the momentum and streamline and improve what we have established so far.

Q. What do you enjoy most about your business?
A. Working for myself!  There is never a dull moment when you are balancing the management of the  day to day operations as well as the finances, the advertising and strategy, social media, staffing, organization, and all the other many facets of running your own business.

Check your bell tent for raindrops beading on the canvas like this. If the canvas is soaked or absorbing water then you should reproof it when dry.
These raindrops look very pretty don’t they?
