Ok, so the SoulPads are based on an old design. That doesn't mean they're not as durable as modern tents! In fact quite the opposite is true. We have incorporated modern components and state of the art manufacturing techniques to produce a highly efficient tool for camping. All this whilst still respecting and retaining the elegance of the original bell tent shape. The lightweight, strong, 285g/m2 cotton canvas keeps the inside cool on a hot day and it's inviting sandy colour is easy on the eye and pleasant to wake up to. All the canvas in SoulPad tents is treated to be water, UV and mould resistant and has been impregnated to protect it from dirt, ultraviolet radiation and fungus. The SoulPads truly are a quality build with double stitching all around and reinforced at key points. Some of the SoulPads have an A-framed covered entrance which stops the rain coming in and creates a useful porch. The zipped front door on all SoulPads enables easy access. The SoulPads with zipped windows also include integrated mosquito nets that allow the air to circulate whilst keeping the bugs out. The SoulPad bell tent range has further vents situated at the very top of the 'bell'. The poles that are required in these designs are lightweight and durable, as are the pegs. The old heavy rope that was common with these tents has been replaced with longer lasting and lightweight nylon. This helps to reduce the overall weight. All SoulPads come with a generously sized, matching canvas bag which they can easily be packed into. A simple drawstring closure ensures no snagging of materials or overstretched zips. In trials it has taken 2 people no more than 15-20 minutes to erect any of the SoulPad tents. They are simple to use and can all be erected by one person, which is great fun to watch! |
